BERLIN INDEX

How we make our guides

A useful travel article should help you make a decision and carry it out. Berlin Index combines a clear route or comparison with practical limits, relevant photographs and links to the organisations responsible for changing information.

Sources and updates

Transport advice is checked against operators such as BVG, VBB and BER. Museum and palace planning uses the relevant institution’s visitor information. District context draws on official city and tourism sources. The starter guides were researched on 4 November 2026; individual opening arrangements, fares and access can change afterwards.

Where a detail changes frequently, the guide links to the current official page rather than presenting an old price or timetable as permanent. Before a booked visit or departure, check that source for your own date.

Routes are editorial suggestions

A proposed walk is not a conducted tour or a guarantee that every path will remain open. Allow for weather, closures, accessibility needs and your own pace. Recommendations do not claim that every venue has been personally inspected or that a specific room, table or ticket is available.

Photographs and corrections

Photographs have descriptive captions. The photo credits page records their creators, sources and licences. If a factual detail is wrong, send the article title, the correction and a reliable source through the contact page. Clear corrections help keep all four language versions aligned.
