This page describes the features provided by Berlin Index. Contact the site administrator through the contact page with a privacy question, identifying the request without sending sensitive identity documents through the form.
Reading the site and choosing a language
The theme does not include advertising or analytics tracking. Polylang may use a first-party language preference cookie to remember the selected language. Normal WordPress sign-in cookies are used for administrators. The hosting provider may process technical access logs under its own arrangements.
Contact messages
The contact form sends your name, email address and message to the site administrator. A private record is stored in WordPress and remains until an administrator removes it. An email notification may also be sent to the configured administrator address. These details are used to review and answer enquiries; messages are not displayed as public comments.
Spam protection uses a short-lived, keyed hash derived from the connection IP address to limit repeated messages for five minutes. The raw IP address is not stored with the contact message. Do not include payment details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Saved choices on this device
If you use the trip checklist, its selected items can be remembered in this browser’s local storage. They are not submitted to the administrator by the checklist. Use its reset control or clear the website’s browser data to remove them.
External links and your requests
Official booking and source links lead to other organisations with their own privacy practices. Following those links leaves this site. To ask about access, correction or removal of a contact message, use the contact page and state the email address used for that message. The administrator can then identify the relevant record and respond.
